Greetings:Welcome to my website. Discovery!So I was going through some of my old files today, and came across an old unfinished story I wrote a while back about a text based mmo I used to play called Legends of Terris. The story is about one of my old characters who left for a long time back when I had a falling out with the game. After a few years of being away, I got the feeling that I might want to play again, and started writing it. It went unfinished however due to me discovering a number of elements that made me lose interest again. The story was then lost and forgotten for the longest time. Until NOW! I've finished the story and posted it in my writings section for your entertainment. Enjoy! Link April Showers bring May Flowers!Hey hey! Been pretty busy recently. Went to GDC a few weeks back and met some awesome people and saw some great things coming up in the next year. I especially liked the DSI XL that Nintendo showed off and got my own a few weeks later. I've also been busy working on more Unreal editor stuff, as well as starting helping with a indie project with the guys at CWS Software. Overall not a bad few months, but definetly busy. I posted an updated version of my office map in the projects section. The cold chill of winter is upon us!Haven't updated in a while, but I've been working hard! I've been working lately on more of my Unreal map, and it's coming together really well. I've filled in most of the textures, and started adding static meshes to the level. Work still to be done is to fix up lighting away from the spam of light sources everywhere, and fill in with more interesting features. An updated version can be found here XNA eh?I've started looking into the free software for XNA and started toying around with that earlier this month. It's pretty neat so far, and I eventually want to convert over some stuff I did a while back for fun. Looking forward to it after we get done with my current project at work.Going, Going, GONE!Just wrapped up the big project I was stressing about last week. Time to get ready for the next one! September brings hard workIn the middle of a pretty tight deadline at work, so I haven't had much time lately to update anything. I've gotten in the beta's for both League of Legends, and Hero's of Newerth. I like the hero selection for LoL, but right now HoN definetly feels more stable. Unreal funSo I've been working more in Unreal mapping again now that I have more time. I've added an updated map to the design section which I plan on playing with more static meshes and triggers. For now though, It's mostly just a basic layout, roughly based off my workplace. Be sure to check it out. Business as usualBeen pretty quiet lately, my fiancee left for Florida last week, and having it to myself is relaxing. Although, I can't wait for her to come back :) I added a new section under Projects with a few design samples I had laying around. A week gone by too quicklyTook a week off last week to travel to the Thousand Islands (not just a dressing). It was nice, but rained most of the time. I slept a lot, my fiance caught fish, and we played a lot of cards. I got to make some pulled pork and grilled hamburgers, so there was plenty of good eats. Finally, I had a good ol' campers birthday ice cream cake complete with ice cream sandwiches, whip cream, and chocolate syrup. The Pen is Mightier..Finally added the writings section. There's just one set currently, but I know I have another set of stories somewhere. They aren't professional by any means, and were done in notepad, which means there's not much formatting. About sectionI made more updates to the About Me section, and changed a few other things around. The creative writings section is still under construction, but stay tuned for more to come. Additional CreativitySo I was going through cleaning out some of my old files and I found a folder of writings I did for various occasions. I plan on putting these up in a new section when I've gone through and cleaned them up a little. Also, I've decided to add a "Random Thought" section to give insight to the sheer absurdities my mind produces. For example: If two objects in space are very far apart, we can reduce the amount of space between them by filling it with stuff. Call me the Haber-DasherAnnapolis is one of the few places I know that has a Haberdashery downtown. So I got a Bowler hat and so far I love wearing it. Although it's a a bit annoying wearing it when it's so cold outside, so I'll have to wait until it gets warmer to get more use out of it. It also is amusing wearing it when I was growing my sideburns out. I think one person daily would mistake me for being Jewish. Updated CreditsI will admit it's been a while since I've submitted an update here. Work is starting to pick back up again with many new projects coming our way. I've updated the credits page with new projects that I've completed, and I think soon I'll start adding more information to each of the projects I've worked on. This will hopefully provide more insight to what is done for each credit. In other news, I've discovered a growing trend that mobile game companies like to get rid of their developers, and send the unfinished work to us under the guise of "ports". On the brighter side though, this means more stuff I can talk about when I tell people what I do. |
