Life:

My name is Graham Leeb, and currently live in Glen Burnie, Maryland. I have received a degree in Game Design and Development, as well as a previous degree in Computer Information Systems. I was born in Syracuse, New York and to this day watch the occasional Orangemen game. When I was young my family moved to a suburb of Detroit Michigan where I did most of my growing up. Once I started high school, my family moved again to Forest Hill, Maryland. Here is where I finished high school and went to on to receive an associates degree in CIS at Harford Community College. After that, I moved off on my own to school in Florida to receive my degree in Game Design and Development.

Ever since I was young I had had an interest in taking things apart, breaking them down tweaking them and putting things back together. So it was no surprise when I got my first computer and started to learn to program, I started to fiddle with my favorite games and create new fun stuff out of them. Eventually I took more in-depth programming courses in school and college, but something never felt right about what I was doing. Up until then I had the mindset that I'd just get a generic IT job somewhere and make good money for doing boring work for people who think "insert disk 2" means jamming a second disk behind the first one. It was then I realized that there were good people involved in the creation of games, and I decided I wanted to be a part of it. My dream in life is to eventually belong to a company who's primary goal in making games is not to make money, but rather a company that enjoys making games, and has the desire to make them well.

Career:

I currently work as a Mobile Porting Developer at a company by the name of OpenPath Products. Each day I have to manage my own schedule across multiple projects. I also try to keep track what is going on within my team so I can jump in and help them out if they need. On any given day, I have roughly three projects that I must keep track of and give attention to in some fashion throughout the week. On some projects, I take part in providing functional and graphical bug fixes and modifications. Other projects require perliminary Q&A spot checking, or even design modifications to fit a certain specification. In all cases, I am required to provide estimates and daily staus of each project, as well as any change in the level of effort.

One quality I continuously work on is my interaction with my co-workers. I strive to maintain a strong, approachable attitude, while maintaining a quality level of professionalism with other team members, as well as the QA testers that support us. I have found that with a stronger relationship between my co-workers and I, that when times are stressed and deadlines are due, they will go the extra bit to get the job done, in the same way I have been there for them.

Hobbies:

I often take time out to appreciate games on a broad spectrum. Over the years I have collected a respectable group of enjoyable card, and board games which I still find myself going back to and playing with my friends. I am also a fan of many staple games in society, such as the Mario series, Zelda, Megaman, Fable 1 & 2, Fallout, Bioshock, Ninja Gaiden. Conventional games that I am playing, or have played recently include D&D, Axis and Allies, Robo Rally, Settlers of Catan, and ZOMBIES!!!. In addition to the ones listed, I always enjoy taking time out to try out a new game. When I'm not rocking out in Rockband, or playing DnD with friends, I have also developed my skill in building, and repairing computers, and troubleshooting networks for people, and find joy in helping others who may not be as technically inclined.
